Green credentials

• Green electric – we buy our electric from renewable sources, specifically Hydro-water powered electric
• Solar reflective film on the windows which reduces heat into the room and heat loss out of the room
• We use a Building Management System which monitors and controls all environmental issues in the building
• We have an Environmental Management System which is a compliance audit tool to ensure that we minimise our impact upon the environment
• Motion Sensor Lighting within all rooms to ensure that lights are only on when needed
• Energy saving light bulbs only are used around the building
• Green air monitoring system to ensure that the air in the building provides a healthy environment

• Waste management – we reduce the volume of waste by compacting it all
• Recycling – we recycle as much of our waste as we possibly can including toner cartridges, paper, glass, cardboard, batteries, notepads and pens and choose recycled materials wherever possible
• We ensure that our stationery suppliers have a green chain
• We use sustainable resources for our furniture and materials

• We use mains-fed drinking water rather than bottled water to reduce waste
• Fresh produce is sourced from local privately owned suppliers, minimising the ecological impact of the supply chain, supporting the local community and reducing our ‘food miles’
• Food is primarily organic and Fairtrade sourced
• Wherever possible we avoid using food in individual wrappers and opt for biodegradable packaging when packaging is necessary

• The building is well located for public transport which limits the impact that visitors driving to the location has on the environment
• We also have a dedicated green team that are always looking for ways to improve the way that we implement our green initiatives and share best practice
